“For sports fans, there are obviously the important international events like the Formula 1 Grand Prix and the classic Liège/Bastogne/Liège cycle race. But fans of historic rallies, jogging or golf will not be disappointed either…
“If you’re more into music, the season starts early with the Belzik fesival (Herve) but continues until Autumn. Who hasn’t heard of the Francofolies of Spa, of Fiestacity in Verviers or of the concerts organised permanently by the Spirit of 66?
“But if you are more unconventional, if you are fond of the fiesta, it will be during the carnival season that you must come to visit us: you will encounter the Haguettes in Malmedy and the Blancs Moussis in Stavelot. A tip, though: if you prefer Eupen, don’t wear a tie on Ladies’ Thursday.”
